"What's The Tea?" Trend

Careers were launched, reputations were established and people were, once again, falling head over heals for drama that seemed so inconsequential in many of our lives. In the summer of 2018, many audiences were anticipating the shenanigans of their favorite celebrity, Youtuber or influencer that these ones would be caught up in. Or at least what we thought they were caught in. However for a time there was a distinct lack of interest. So where did the interest go?

I don't have Twitter, though my friends do have accounts, so I have a good idea on how it works. Like most people with a twitter, they follow others. When looking on there accounts I noticed they followed certain people who quote on quote, "spilled tea." Usually their video covers are a "thumbnail"  that would include a  non-stop festival of pure drama. This all came about of what is known as the "Beauty Community." Yes the word that is overused in social media was originated from YouTube, Not very surprising to hear that but still you would be surprised on how many people didn't know about such fact.

Such content seems to have been performing fairly well however what made it so relevant even more so is the drama that takes place in it. Why do people start caring about the drama of a community that has been functioning quite well for years prior to its start. Honestly I am just confused as anyone would about this topic. I guess to sum it up people want to hold those who are wealthy accountable for there actions and are waiting for them to fall by it if it doesn't measure up to there level of sincerity.
